Pet Ponderosa takes your pet's well-being seriously. That is why we have constructed a state of the art boarding facility to care for your pet for either long or short term boarding. We want your pet's stay to be an enjoyable time while they are here. That's why we created a "dude ranch for pets." That's also why we insist you choose at least one daily activity for your dog, it's their vaction too at the Ponderosa.

The main kennel building where we board dogs is clean, temperature controlled and quiet. The dogs don't get stressed out barking at each other because of an ultrasonic device which automatically activates whenever barking starts, this simple thing really makes your dog's stay more relaxed and peaceful. We made sure to have different sized kennels for different sized dogs. Your dog will also enjoy beautiful outside runs, exercise and play areas, nature walks and pool play time.

We haven't forgotten our feline friends. We have a special cozy playroom built for their enjoyment with plenty of carpet covered posts, perches and hiding places so they can explore or just lounge around, whatever your cat fancies.

All the pets we board are fed a healthy diet with high quality food. We customize their feeding times based on what they are used to so they feel even more at home.

We offer the full gamut of professional grooming services for your dog. We have a simple grooming philosophy which is critical to the success of our grooming department; a genuine empathy for how the dog is feeling. If the dog is made to feel comfortable, and the groomer can make that emotional connection with them, the process usually goes well. Of course it also helps to be talented with the clippers.

The purpose of Doggy Daycare is to provide a safe, fun and stimulating social environment for dogs during weekday business hours. We pre-screen all our doggy day care attendees so they will get along and have an enjoyable time together. We think it's worth it, the dogs seem to have a great time. Of course, your dog has to be healthy and have all their shots current, we have all the details and policies on our Doggy Day Care page.

We also offer Puppy Day Care, with the puppies kept separate from the older dogs. The puppies get lots of naps and even get to watch a bit of Animal Planet while they relax on floor pillows.

We sure don't want to keep your dog locked up and isolated in a pen all day, that's boring and unhealthy. We want them to have fun while they're at the Ponderosa. That's why we have a whole slew of activities to choose from for your dogs while they are boarding with us. And you have to pick out at least one, we want happy ranchers here! Occassionally, we like to have special events for our pet clients and their owners. Halloween is an especially fun time when we have our Halloween party. We also have a Christmas event for pet photos with Santa. Check out past event photos on our Special Events page.

When your time is limited and you need to get your pet somewhere, try our Pet Ponderosa Taxi Service. Our taxi service will pick up and drop off your pet to your vet, boarding facility, groom shop, daycare or to the airport. Give us a call, we will need 24 hour notice. 253-847-7763
