| Scheduling Policies |
We understand travel plans occasionally change at the last minute. However, we schedule incoming guests availability according to our outgoing guests. Any pet staying beyond their pre-scheduled checkout date without notifying us 24 hours in advance will be subject to a $25.00 surcharge for that day in addition to your boarding fees. For the following holiday reservations: New Years, 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas, 50% of the boarding fee will be required at reservation and is non-refundable. We have a 72 hour cancellation policy for non-holiday reservations. Anything less than 72 hours notice and you forfeit your $50 deposit. If you do give 72 hour notice, then your deposit can be used as a credit for boarding, grooming, toys, treats, or dog food. Credits are valid for 6 months. Please note pick up and drop off times. If you need pick up or drop off time other than our scheduled hours, there is a charge of $40.00 plus the boarding rate. Please make arrangements with us in advance. A 3 Day minimum stay is required for these holidays: Easter, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Memorial Day. A 5 day minimum stay is required for these holidays: Christmas and New Years. |
| Pet Policies |
Although this information can also be found in other parts of our website, the following general guidelines will help make your pet's stay with us more comfortable:
We require you to pick an activity for your pet during their stay. Even an older dog likes a walk, and to be able to explore Ponderosa. Please think of us as a resort for your pet rather than a storage facility. We want your pet to have a great time. We strongly recommend Flea and Tick prevention for all pets. If your pet is not on a program at the time of boarding and we find fleas on your pet, you will be charged for a bath and flea treatment. If your pet does not have fleas and you choose not to guard your pet against these parasites, we cannot guarantee they will go home pest free. You are welcome to bring 1 to 2 toys and treats to make your pet's stay more comfortable. All your pet's personal items must be clean and sanitized. We cannot be responsible for the condition of these possessions during your pet's stay. Please mark all their toys so that the right items are returned to you. We will accept your pet's favorite small blankets that can be washed. We have Kuranda beds available and blankets for your pet's comfort. We serve high quality food to our guests: Breeder's Choice Avoderm Lamb and Rice and Healthwise Lamb & Oats from Natura Pet, both dry and canned. If you would rather bring your pet's own food from home, please either place the servings in baggies or bring a container or bag with their name on it, as well as the amount. All vaccinations should be done 2 weeks prior to boarding and we do require Bordetella every 6 months. Please provide written record from veterinarian of up to date vaccinations, including Bordetella. |
| Payment Policies |
We require a $50.00 deposit with a 72 hour cancellation policy to hold your reservation. No cash or credit card refunds are issued, only a credit to your account for future services. Pet Ponderosa provides a warranty, required for all pets 1 to 7 years old. Warranty fee is $3.00 per pet, per stay. Payment in full is required at time of drop off. $25.00 fee for returned checks and NSF. Senior and military rate discount is 10% on boarding only. |
